Within the framework of the 8th edition of the Master of Art film festival, the director of the State Institute for Culture at the Minister of Foreign Affairs - Mrs. Snezhana Joveva-Dimitrova presented the award for the best Bulgarian art documentary, which for the third year is provided by the institute. This year, an international jury chose the Bulgarian-Canadian production with director Borislav Kolev and producer Maria Landova "Teodor Ushev: Invisible Connections" as the winner of the prestigious award. The Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivan Kondov opened the exhibition "Fragments of modern art in Montenegro from the collection of the National Museum", which is visiting Bulgaria for the first time on the initiative of the State Institute for Culture under the Minister of Foreign Affairs and with the assistance of the Bulgarian Embassy in Podgorica. The Mission Gallery was founded in 2009 as an unrestricted place for cultural diplomacy in Sofia. The gallery is a unique art space within the administrative structure, which changes the daily institutional rhythm, opening its doors to the public for a dynamic exchange of ideas, artistic concepts and messages.

The gallery complements and supports the activities of the State Institute for Culture, related to various forms of intercultural dialogue: project introductions and meetings with authors, exhibitions, conferences, literary readings, performances, charity events and workshops for children.
